about

My name is Ben Hetherington and House of Hanzo is a creative outlet for my jewellery and other products (soon).

The name Hanzo references the character Hattori Hanzo in Tarantino's Kill Bill, inspired by a samurai with the same name from the 15th century. Tarantino's Hanzo is the master sword smith, crafting Kiddo's sword. Originally HoH's tagline was 'the art of cutting through' - inspired by the name, but the tagline's evolved while the name has stayed.

I started making jewellery for myself and friends around 9 years ago when I couldn't find the style I was after. Over the years this built into the growing collection you can see here. I make everything in my home studio in Sydney's Northern Beaches and work with Purecasting in Marrickville to cast into metals via the lost wax casting process.

Check everything out and connect with me on ig @house_of_hanzo
